Not much of an information, huh? Lets look somewhere else instead

"home:
You can call it Hard Rock, Heavy Rock, Biker Rock, Classic Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Sleazy Rock, Hippy-Trippy-Folk Rock, Garage Rock, Punk Rock.
Whatever, it still ROCKS! Which is exactly what G M T do best.
Effortlessly, in fact.

On the surface, a simple three-piece, yet the pedigree of the members is unbeatable:

Bernie Tormé - Guitar God/ Psychedelic Shredmeister/ Glam Punk Sleaze Rock Frontman. Universally known for heroically stepping in & saving the day for Ozzy Osbourne, when Randy Rhoads tragically died, world tours & international fame as lead axe-man in Gillan; also forming the nucleus of Desperado with Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider & ex Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, as well as fronting his own bands Electric Gypsies/ Torme (with Phil Lewis of L.A. Guns/ Girl fame), Bernie is renowned for bringing his punk vibe to the arenas. He's also an Irish nutcase.

John McCoy - Lead Bass/ Living Legend/ Larger Than Life. Quite frankly who John hasn't played with, written for, or produced over the years isn't worth writing about! A small few include Gillan, Mammoth, Samson, Joey Belladonna (Anthrax), U.K. Subs, Atomic Rooster, Sun Red Sun etc etc. A man mountain with a huger sound, it should also be known that John McCoy has played on over 50 albums...!

It's a similar story with UK powerhouse drummer Robin Guy, drumming since he was a glint in his Father's eye, a quick credit check reveals rhythmical involvement with such names as: Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Faith No More, Lars Frederiksen (Rancid), Casey Chaos (Amen), The Business, Rachel Stamp, All About Eve, Martin Grech, SackTrick, Adam Ant, & many more! His day job has included headlining Wacken Open Air to 40,000 metalheads, surviving 55 shows in 60 days in the U.S., & playing festivals in Belgium and Essex...on the same day! Robin's loud, obnoxious style helps him fit perfectly between Bernie's wit, and John's charm, in fact you could say G M T is a three-way marriage gone horribly right!

Bernie: "Frankly it was going to take something really big to get me off my lazy arse and into the studio. John and Robin and G M T are that really big thing. G M T is big, loud, raw, rough, real, exciting, delicate, and unbelievably heavy. We're recording it just as it is: we don't need no stinking 1000 overdubs to create that wall of sound, we just play."

John: "We popped out for a couple of shows, to test the material and word got out - a bunch of fans flew over from Denmark to see the show - seeing as how Bernie & myself haven't been on stage together since '81, we knew this had to be special. The Danish fans also brought their 50 albums for me to sign. I was happy to oblige!"

Robin: "The first time I met Bernie Tormé & John McCoy, I was recording some session in Bernie's studio and we just clicked right away - the music, the style, the rock n' roll, the humour & vibes were right for one another (not to mention the free flowing Jamesons.). Or maybe we are the only people that can put up with each other... either way, the end result, for what we have achieved in a very short space of time speaks for itself!
This album is gonna turn heads, as well as makin 'em bang!"

"pitriff.com:
When is a "supergroup" really a supergroup? Is it when all the names of the players are well known? Is it when the band is made up of guys that are simply superior musicians? Really.what is more of a "supergroup" - the late 80s band Contraband that featured members of Shark Island, LA Guns, Vixen and MSG; or Dream Theater that features arguably the most talented collection of musicians ever assembled? Maybe the answer lays somewhere in the middle. Maybe a supergroup is defined by guys with strong pedigree that also can flat out play their asses off. If that's the case, then GMT is one of the most solid "supergroups" ever to have existed. Featuring one of the most underrated guitarists in the history of hard rock and heavy metal Bernie Torme (Ozzy Osbourne Band, Desperado), drummer Robin Guy (Bruce Dickinson, Faith No More) and bassist John McCoy (Gillan, Atomic Rooster, Samson), the collaboration known as GMT is not only rock solid musically, but features some good, ol' fashioned ass-kicker hard rock that is sure to please fans of bands like Rose Tattoo and like sounding shit-kicker acts.

Without question, most people's focal point on this band will be guitarist Bernie Torme, as it really should be here. Torme is a major league guitar player who was only stopped from being considered one of the greatest of all time by his lack of self-promotion and overexposure. Every project he's ever played on has had killer guitars, and BITTER AND TWISTED is no exception. Interestingly, he combines a lot of musical styles here. Songs like "Miss The Buzz" are raw, grinding guitar tunes where you literally can envision Torme on stage just piercing a mid-sided club with his raw sound and some very Van Halen like soloing. On other songs, like "Down To Here", Torme switches up into a full on, power Blues vibe that would make the late Stevie Ray Vaughan look down from Heaven and smile. In addition to his killer guitar work, Torme acts as vocalist on BITTER AND TWISTED. He's not really the best voice you will ever here, but his "beer drinker" presentation gives a very casual, party-like vibe to the songs. He's solid vocally, although he's never going to be confused with any of the vocal legends he's played guitar for in the past.

While Torme is the centerpiece of the attention (and should be, really), there is no denying that the other two musicians in GMT deserver a great deal of credit. Robin Guy, considered by many to be the best drummer in the UK today, is a pillar of consistency throughout. While it could be simply the way the drums were recorded, listening to songs like "No Justice" just leave you thinking that Guy is hitting the drums really, REALLY hard. Not only does he give a powerful performance here, but he's surprisingly polished for a player that swings his sticks like a mallet on a wall he's tearing down. The drumming is masterful. The same can be said for John McCoy's bass playing. He does far more than follow along with Guy. Instead, his consistent undercarriage of thunder rocks these songs firmly forward. His playing drives the previously mentioned "Miss The Buzz" as it acts as the lead sound from which Torme's vocals and guitars play off off. Don't read into this that GMT is a series of showcase songs for individual instrumentation though. To the contrary, each and every song sounds like a true song where all the pieces just fit together. It's truly a great rock CD.

PITRIFF RATING - 8/10 - Personally, Torme's vocals are the only thing that take anything away from this project. He's not bad by any means, but given the strength of the music played here, this would be a perfect 10 if it had a bit stronger of a vocalist. As it is, GMT's BITTER AND TWISTED is a really, really fun, powerful release for those of you in the whiskey drinking, raw bar band style. The songs rock, and the guitar playing is simply amazing. They may not be considered a "supergroup" in a lot of people's eyes, but GMT is certainly a super band.
